I brought in my bike hoping to get the back wheel fixed (It was bent from a crash) and the gear box realigned. Judging from the prices around freeride and canary, I was expecting to pay around $100. As soon as Harold looked at this bike, he could tell me everything that ever happened. He told me exactly what I needed to get the bike as good as new.

Once I received my bike 2 days later, it felt perfect. The new stem fit my height perfectly. The chains and gears were perfectly aligned making for the smoothest ride I have ever had on a bike. The back wheel was replaced of course, but it matched the front wheel perfectly. Harold not only checked off all the boxes that he said he would, but he did more. He cleaned off the pedals making them spin with almost no friction. He completely clear the gears of any trace of rust - something that I thought was rusted to the core.

Walking into his shop, you could tell that Harold, the owner of Earle Industries, knew his stuff. Bikes hanging from the roof, stairs to racks of bikes, a back room with parts for bikes everywhere. A small office for dealing with paperwork and a front entrance for speaking with customers.

Of course, nobody is perfect. The only downside was that the bolt holding onto the new stem wasn't properly tightened when installed. An incredibly minor thing, but it had to be mentioned.

Awesome service and advice. I have bought 3 bikes from here and considering my fourth. After my first experience I haven't looked at any other bike shop in town.

I first went to Freeride mountain sports because they were closer. The guy there said they dont work on bikes as low end as mine. My second option was Canary cycles, but he mentions Earle industries. It was a bit further, but he said that mid range bikes were right up his ally.

The wheel needed to be fully replaced, which he told me cost around $60. He could get me a new stem for cheap because they werent selling. A new gear box, a cleaned chain, new cables, and about 2 hours work. Im thinking this would add up to around $200, but he quotes me for $130. I say its a deal, he writes down my number, and says he will call in a few days.
