  The staff themselves are always reliable, friendly, and willing to help you find what you're looking for. If you don't want help and just want to browse through the back issues they are always very accommodating.

  In this past year I've been there enough that they know me by name and always have a chat with me while I'm picking up the items from my box. They even know what I'm into and will let me know if there is anything good on it's way. I can't ask for a better spot for my weekly comic shopping. I will keep going there as long as I'm collecting comics.

  Best comic store in St. John's. Helpful staff, good stock. The store can feel cramped at times, but there is a lot of stuff in there.

  Terrible owner. Horrible customer service. Discriminatory attitudes exhibited by owner towards customers with disabilities he does not appreciate it if if people who exhibit mental health issues enter his business. I observed him dehumanizing,, and treating a consumer who has spent 1000's of dollars in his business in a very rude way that marginalized that persons value as a person because they have an illness.

  I picked up collecting comics around a year ago for the first time since I was a kid. In that time Downtown Comics has become my favorite place to go. Despite it being a relatively small shop they have plenty of merchandise and are always getting new and cool items in.

  Also the owner does not like people who just browse his store he counts value in customers based on how much money they drop in his store. If you aren't buying anything or havent bought anything he'd prefer you never went inside. He only values consumers entering his business who buy things regularly when they enter the store. So if you buy boardgames playing cards toys and items they don't come out each month like comics he thinks you are not a paying customer and does not appreciate you in his business
