    The place is a great size, not too small, not too big.

    We had a night out in a few bars last Saturday night. We heard that the bar relocated to a new venue in the last few years so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out.

    Please note that as of September 8 ,2017 Velvet has relocated to it's original location at 208 Water St.

    The music was strictly Top 40's or throwback Top 40's with no mixing at all (as if anyone could just pop in cd's), had no originality and made us leave after our one and only beer to find somewhere more fun, we did.

    Friendly service at the door, but the 6$ cover seemed a bit pricey since we didn't pay to go in any other bars that night. Nice bartender and server as well.
